42 (Film)

When we think of baseball we often think of  hitting homeruns, video games, even chewing gum and popcorn in the stadium. Or we go back when the They went by an unwritten code that no African American or anyone other then white players could play in the majors. That's right I'm talking about the film 42.
42 film poster.jpg When I went to go see it I was surprised that many people who came brought there baseball caps almost all of them were Detroit Tigers hats, but  I had the idea of the direction they were going, That in my point of view was for them to show full support for the hero that brought new idea's to the world in not just baseball but the USA.
.
Arguably Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron are considered the best just because they made the most homeruns, Sure they made there mark, but Jackie Robinson brought the world on new ears with the who becoming the man who broke the color barrio and forming a friendship of a white player named Pee Wee Reese who brought silence to people watching them. Pee Wee Reese - Gillette commercial.jpg The scene in the movie was one of the most amazing things I ever saw, but my favorite part are the words as they say in the history books that Leo Durocher said was "I do not care if the guy is yellow or black, or if he has stripes like a fuckin' zebra. I'm the manager of this team, and I say he plays"

The fact that the Jackie's Number 42 which is the only one in MLB history to be Retired by all the major teams, now that's shows something what the babe never achieved.

I read that Jackie's family had been excited to see the movie although I have not read there reaction's I do bet that they had enjoyed the film.
